Latency reporting > GUI lag

Hi, I’m a tester at Toontrack and we have noticed that the GUI is lagging in Cubase 13 and 14 on macOS and Windows when a preset change is made in our VST 3 plug-in EZmix 3, for example when browsing through multiple presets by using the arrow keys.

In other hosts, this GUI freeze/lag does not seem to occur (REAPER, Studio One, WaveForm for example)

We have noticed that if we turn off latency reporting, the GUI doesn’t freeze. Is this something Steinberg can take a closer look at?

Are you changing latency for each preset?

Yes! And the issue does seem to occur only when the latency is changed. For many of our presets, we report 0 latency and there are no issues switching between those.
