Layout templates not reflected on project consistently

Hi there,

I’m working on a anthology book and am running into some inconsistencies that I can’t figure out.

Basically I’ve set up a few page templates and when I need to edit anything, I go directly to the template to add, change, delete, etc. from there, so all is consistent throughout the project.

Examples:

Index page template

Index page

Similar issue is happening with the flow title page template

Here’s the Diagnostic report in case it’s helpful

Thank you for your time and consideration in the matter.

Your project would be the most helpful attachment.

OK, I tried making a sample project file, but it’s still over the 4MB size allowed on the forum, so I can’t send you anything here. Try accessing through the We transfer link: Unique Download Link | WeTransfer .

I tried removing all page template changes and then inserting the needed templates for the cover page (pg.1) and Index page (pg.2)

The index template got fixed, but the first page of the flows is still showing inconsistency; flow 1 is as it should be. The rest have a text box that’s not in the template, which is weird.

You’re talking about this?

That’s the flow heading. You can turn that off by setting Layout Options > Page Setup > Flows > Show flow headings to Never.

The Index still looks a little odd to me.

e.g. why isn’t {@flow3Artist@} displaying as the first two flows are, given that they are using the same token?

What do you think, @asherber?

Yeah, there is something odd there. I retyped that token in the template, and now it looks correct.

I looked at the text in an editor and didn’t see anything odd, like control characters or something, but maybe I missed it.
