Hi, the LE command to select notes Inside Selected Marker doesn’t seem to be working as expected compared to select note Inside Cycle. Using the same set of notes, Inside Cycle selects all notes inside the Cycle(perfect) but Inside Selected Marker selects all notes except for notes just before the end of the Marker. This goes for Parts too when you have multiple Parts inside a Selected Marker.
(This is strange bc the notes start “Inside” the selected marker and in some cases even if the note extends outside the marker as long as it started inside the marker it should be selected the same way it works for Inside Cycle)
Thank you.
Could you please re-post those screenshots, except this time only Select one of the last Notes which is behaving inconsistently. That way the Info Line will show stuff for that impacted Note. Right now it is showing the data for the first selected Note early in the bar.
Hi raino, I didn’t save the last session so here’s new screenshots.
I noticed if a note’s end lines up with the end of the marker then cubase doesn’t consider that note being “inside” the marker. If I shorten the note so the end is within the marker not lining up or past the markers end then the LE command does work. Unfortunately it doesn’t work like the Inside Cycle where the note could line up with the end of the marker or even go past the marker as long as it starts inside the cycle. This snag applies to Parts as well. Thank you.
Yeah, that’s what I was wondering. Sure seems like the behavior should be the same for both. And since “Position” is established by where the Note Starts, that’s the only criteria that should come into play.
