Left and right audio reversed in Cubase

The problem is when I pan right or left the the sound in my headphones goes to the opposite speaker.

For example in the screenshot I have panned hard right. The signal indicates it has panned right but the sound goes to the left speaker.

Headphones are not the problem. I took the left/right stereo test here Left / Right Stereo Sound Test (Online) and headphones worked fine. Headphones also work normally in Audacity so it seems to be a Cubase problem.

Only happened about a week ago. Anybody else encounter this or know how it can be fixed? Seems like a strange one :confused:

Check your ‘Audio Connections’ (VST Connections in older versions) that the channels aren’t mapped backwards for your audio interface’s Output.

You were right ManChicken! The main left and right outputs in the control room were indeed switched around so I just switched them back so back to normal.
