Left Double Barline

So, has the left double barline been added to Dorico yet?
That’s basic stuff in Finale, My clients require it and it’s an essential component in my house style.

No, this hasn’t been added in Dorico 5.1.70. We know that some users need this, and it’s on our backlog for future implementation.

Bilo,
could you post a little screenshot of one page, so one can visualise the style. So far I haven’t seen this, but I am genuinely interested.

When using the hand copying shortcut style of not drawing clefs and key sigs, it’s common to put a double barline at the beginning of the system if there’s one at the end of the previous system or if it coincides with a rehearsal mark.

That actually looks nice and makes sense.

Sure! I’ll upload several examples.
The use of double barlines on each side clearly denotes the beginning and end of each section.
I’m curious, why were they left out to begin with? It’s a basic feature in standard notation.

Thanks for uploading your examples.
Somehow I miss a real bracket or brace at the very beginning of your pages/examples.

It’s not necessary for staff+tab, but it is completely possible and easy to do, if you prefer.
