Level matching 2 audio events

Hey guys
Is there a way to level match 2 audio events (that are on different tracks) inside cubase?
When i say level match i mean like dB/LUFS or loudness.
For example i have 1 vocal take in track A & another vocal take in track B. I want to make track A loudness level = track B loudness level

C13 Pro, macbook M1 max

Thanks in advance

Loudness? Which loudness, momentary, short, integrated, RMS?

Cubase offers to normalize to loudness (integrated), so you could get the statistics of one event and then normalize the other event to that level. It is questionable if that will yield the desired result, though.

The only way I can think of that will take the entire channel path into consideration is to put a meter plugin in a post fader insert slot on both channels.

Wavelab Pro has a specific and highly accurate function for this.

In Cubase you could approximate matching the level of one track with another using a plugin like Melda MAGC (or something similar) but there’s no specific function inside Cubase for this.
