- create new Montage (44,1 kHz)
- insert audio file (stereo 44,1 kHz 16 bit)
- insert Leveler plugin in Master section
- move slider “Mix to mono” from OFF to ON
=> WL freezes
Reproducible and confirmed?
I can confirm that Wavelab freezes if I do the same steps.
However, there is no crash if you create an audio montage from a wave file (keyboard shortcut “M”) and then insert the Leveler plugin in the master section.
True = weird.
This bug is NOT fixed in version 7.1
I can’t reproduce this anymore in 7.1…
Please try to follow the steps exactly as described in my first post - there is a difference between creating new Montage from scratch (and importing audio file there) or creating Montage upon already opened audio file in Audio view.
This is what I did, exept:
“move slider “Mix to mono” from OFF to ON”
as there is no more slider, but a check box, in 7.1.
Maybe someone else can try.
Yes, indeed I noticed the slider is gone
OK, to be more precise:
- create new Montage (44,1 kHz)
- insert audio file (stereo 44,1 kHz 16 bit) via mouse right-click (Insert Audio File)
- insert Leveler plugin in Master section
- check the “Mix to mono” checkbox
- start the playback
=> WL freezes
Still can’t reproduce.
If you do the same, with a stereo audio file, does the same happen?
If you play a single mono audio file (no plugin), is it ok?
?? Now you confuse me - I am using stereo file and stereo Montage all the time…
In stereo Montage it is even impossible to import mono file therefore I don’t follow…
I mean, if you are in the audio File workspace (no montage at all).
I see. In Audio workspace there is no problem at all e.g. no freeze when applying Leveler to stereo file (mono checked / unchecked) and no problem when playing mono file with / without Leveler mono checked / unchecked.
