Lexicon Lambda and Cubase 7 Elements

I recently upgraded to Cubase Elements 7 From LE4. I have a Lexicon Lambda audio interface that worked well with LE4, but I have problems with it in Elements 7. The problem that I am having is when I create an input bus (2 mono inputs, for the Lambda), I hear either a long lag in sound (When I speak into the Mic) or heavy distortion, depending on how I adjust the Latency/CPU setting in the advance settings of the control panel for VST connections. I tried installing both the 32 and 64 bit version of Elements 7. I downloaded the most recent drivers from the Lexicon website, that are supposed to work with either the 32 or 64 bit versions of Windows 7. I believe they were the Lexicon Lambda 2.7 drivers.

Does anyone know whether or not there are issues with this device and Cubase 7 Elements? I had no problems when using Cubase LE4.

Thanks,

My system: Dell Precision M6500 with 16GB of Ram/Windows 7 64 Bit.

Are you sure you set the correct asio drivers in Cubase? Not the generic/DirectX stuff but the lexicon driver?

Yes, I have Lambda picked. I think the problem I was having was clicking the “Insert monitoring” button in the track.
When I leave that off, it works fine. I had to adjust the Latency setting, and for the Lambda, it seems that the settings
have a little more of a drastic effect with Cubase 7 than with LE.
