We appreciate that not being able to run Dorico on two computers without the use of the USB-eLicenser is inconvenient for some of our customers and potential customers. We are always evaluating possible improvements and changes to our eLicenser technology, and I am confident that in the medium-term there will be a more flexible solution that both meets our business needs and your needs as our customer.
This would be fantastic. Hardware licensers feel out of place in this day and age, especially as laptops are rapidly shedding ports. They have always been cumbersome and there is bound to be a better way. Moving away from them would also remove a point of failure; I myself refuse to use them anymore after one of mine started melting and damaged my computer.
