The problem is caused by the grace note, which Dorico treats the same as a ‘real’ note.
Like any object that has duration, you can reduce the length of the line with Shift Alt Left, until it disappears.

Yes, there are many such examples, when a grace note is following. I thought, there would be a more elegante way to handle it.

When you are entering the lyrics, press the right arrow when you’re on the grace note, instead of Space.

Before that! Press it to “exit” the syllable on the half note, and again to move beyond the grace note.
