I’ve never done any cusom line editing before so forgive my newness to it.
I’m hoping to create a line that indicates a wide, slow, vibrato for Ondes Martenot, inside the staff. I would like to make it snap every two bars. Resembling a sine wave cycle.
Good, here’s an example file. It’s actually two curves, one up and one down. I duplicated the two tapered curves and increased the height of the curves in the Line body editor. And without the arrow end cap. Then, when you create them in the score, select the two barlines and make sure to set the lines to attach to barlines at the top of the lines panel. When you have created two, you can select them and press r to repeat them. You can click the star at the bottom left in my example to save them as default. When you reopen your own file, they should appear in the lines panel.
wow. Fantastic. Many thanks. I guess I should get a handle on the lines editor, as I play ondes and like lines in my score. I searched on youtube before posting, but couldn’t find an adequate general tutorial.
Jesele, hey it’s been a while since you helped me with this. This specific tip you gave me worked out perfectly. The piece is finished and I’m editing out parts, and every time I’ve used the line in the full score, it gets messed up in the parts. DO you know of anyway to “lock” it? Here is an example. The first is obviously the full score and the second is the part. Do I just have to go an manually mess with it in engrave mode every time it occurs in the part?
