Link Tracks from Track List

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it would seem that in order to link channels, you have to open up the mixer window, select the channels, right click and select “link channels”.

What I don’t understand is why you can’t just do that directly from the track listing in the main project window? Why can’t you simply select the tracks you want to link, right click, and select “link channels”? Why do you need to open up the mixer window.

It would ALSO be great if we could copy/paste channel settings on the channel list in the main project window instead of going to the channel settings window. There’s so much consolidation that cubase needs to do. There’s the same thing in 100 different places but each one has slightly different controls for some reason. So you have to go to 1000 different windows constantly.
