Not sure if I’m doing this correctly or cubase doesn’t offer this option.
If I create a linked midi clip or audio event with automation… the automation does not appear to update in the linked copies when I adust the automation in the origional event.

Yes, automation is not shared. But to be honest, I wouldn’t expect it.
So let’s say I have a filter plug in that sweeps on an event and I create several shared copies with that automation. Then in wish it modify the character of that event by adjusting that automated filter sweep. I have to adjust it on the original event…then copy and paste that automation onto all the other shared clips?
Yes, I can totally understand your scenario, and I can imagine many of others.
But from my point of view, only the event (the object) is shared.
