List of instruments recognised in XML import

Hello
Is it possible to have the list of instruments names recognised by Dorico in XML import ?
Thanks
Cyril

It doesn’t really work that way, Cyril: Dorico uses heuristics based on full and partial string matching, including knowledge of common abbreviations, in order to decide what instruments to create.

Hello Daniel.
I did many trial of importing XML from Logic into Dorico, if you make a typo in the instrument name i.e. “timpany” instead of “timpani” it does not select the good instrument.
This is why it will be great to have the instrument list with the spelling reconized
Thanks
Cyril

Or just spell the name correctly before you import… “Timpany” is a bit outdated and not considered correct spelling in modern usage, right?

In due course we plan to make it possible to influence the instrument mapping during import, but I can’t say for sure when this will be implemented.

Dan,
When you will speak French as well as I speak English you can talk

Daniel,
This is a very good new,
What is done for Midi Import is great, if we could do the same for XML import will solve all problems importing and will help a lot grouping instrument like the drums, sections …
Thanks in advance
Best
Cyril

P.S.
For those that do not use Logic :
Importing Midi from Logic is a big problem because you have one instrument per pattern i.e. last import I tried I had 354 instruments.
In XML it’s working fine except the problems with names
