Little notes above system to indicate a rythm

Hi,
I don’t know how to call them, but sometimes one puts small not above the system to indicate how bars are build up rythmically.
Is there a way to do this in Dorico, and if so, how?
Thank,
Esther

Could you please post a picture of a score, to show what you’re looking for? Maybe this could be done with an ossia staff, I’m not sure.

Hmm, I cann’t find an example. I know my teacher once showd how this is done in Sibelius, but thet doens’t help us now. It’s not wit Ossia, since you should only see the notes, no lines.

There are a couple of ways I’ve done it before. If it’s a cue from another staff, you can use a rhythmic cue:

You can also do it with a slash voice that you then make cue-sized:

Either way isn’t that tricky to achieve.

This looks promissing! But I cann’t find ‘Start text’, 'rythmic cue’and ‘distance’ the lower zone.

Hoi Esther,

Hier

heb ik mijn manier opgeschreven, ik hoop dat het enigzins duidelijk is en dat je er iets aan hebt…

Groetjes,
Benji
