Anybody else having problems with Plugins loading in a timely manner or not loading at all since the last update. At this stage I don’t want to spend time checking out previous projects and hopefully its just a glitch in my current project. I was very impressed with the great improvement in loading speed with the last update but I’m thinking that it might be related to that.

Please let us have more details about your issue:
- which plug-ins fail to load?
- which device and OS you are using?
In addition, does closing all apps and fully shut down your iOS/iPadOS device (followed by restarting the device and Cubasis) help to resolve the problem?

Examples of Plugins in my current project that take a long time to load or require several reloads of Cubasis are,
Korg Gadget, e.g. Marseille - Madrid seems to load ok.
Pure Synth
Aparillo.
As a test I tried duplicating several tracks and changed their synths and one or two didn’t load or load in a timely manner.
Closing all apps and shutting down my iPad doesn’t seem to make any difference.
Using an iPad 12.9, IOS 18.4.1
It’s odd that nobody else has mentioned this problem. Perhaps my current project or some of my midi tracks are bugged in some way!

You may check to first launch the stand alone apps of the 3rd party plug-in applications.
Furthermore, please check what happens if you use the plug-ins in a new Cubasis project.

Pre-loading the stand alone apps doesn’t seem to make make any difference.
I tried your suggestion of setting up a new project - 27 long midi tracks with every track using an AU synth - very demanding on memory of course with multiple instances of One Shot, EG Pulse, Pure Synth , Various Gadgets, Aparillo, Factory, Beathawk.
I’ve tried loading it many times, sometimes loading it between loading other Projects in the same session and sometimes after re-loading Cubasis. Most of the time every synth loads as fast as expected. However, it has failed at other times, totally at random it seems, just like my original bugged Project.
I’m wondering if Cubasis is still loading Plugins after the main arrangement screen has appeared. With smaller projects that wouldn’t matter so much I guess but for bigger memory-hungry Projects the odds of something not loading properly maybe greater and sometimes failures will happen - probably more than was the case with the pre-update slower loading speed. I hope I’m wrong on that and the fantastic speed increase isn’t responsible!
I can live with it at the moment. I’ve sort of got used to it. Of course, I can always try reinstalling Cubasis if it happens again in the future.
PLEASE… If there any users out there working on a large midi project, let me know if everything is loading as it should since the last update. Especially if its a Project started before the update.

Thank you for sharing your project with us.
We’ve noticed that it includes a number of third-party instruments and effects plug-ins.
Please be aware that there’s a potential risk of some of these plug-ins failing to load for various reasons.
When we attempt to open your project, many of the third-party plug-ins are missing on our end, as we unfortunately do not have access to all of them.
To help troubleshoot the issue, please follow the steps below:
- Create a duplicate of your project.
- Open the duplicated version.
- Delete one track at a time.
- Then load another project, load your project again.
- Repeat this process until the project loads without issues.
Afterwards, please let us know which plug-ins fail to load properly during this process.

I replied to your email yesterday (sent to your Steinberg address) but judging by today’s message I’m not sure if you received it. Anway, here’s the reply again,
"Yes, I was wondering how it would work if you don’t have the PlugIns!
To be honest it’s too much hassle to carry out your instructions and I must admit I’ve lost interest in the problem. Also, the problem is so intermittent - I’ve just loaded the Project again and there were no major problems. I’m working on another project at the moment but I seem to remember that the bug problem wasn’t happening as often the last few times I loaded it, maybe slow at times but loading eventually. I’ll return to the Project again sometime in the future - to work on it with " fresh ears ", not because of the bug!
