I needed to lock my tracks in linear mode to sync my Yamaha Genos Vocal harmonies with the 69BPM SONG tempo but I want to see the notes on staff when I Highlight all midi tracks. Nothing comes up…Why?

Where is the problem, please?
The problem is if you lock all of your midi & Audio tracks and try to go into the new score editor you will see nothing unless you unlock those tracks of course all of the tracks are highlighted which is protocol
It would be nice in the next update if they could reverse that and not need to go into 16+ tracks to remove the locj because there’s times I need to lock my tracks so I can introduce a midi file of a different tempo that is recorded on an audio track Not disturbing any of the tracks to move around.
I already figured out how to do it but I’m just offering a suggestion for the next update.
I can confirm tbis. Locked MIDI tracks will not appear in the Score editor visibility list.
Cubase 14.0.10 Pro. Windows 11.
Now, of course, they don’t appear in the drum or key editor either, for obvious reasons.
Score is a little different, in that you should at least be able to read it even if you can’t edit it.

I also asked for displaying notes in the old score editor for frozen tracks.
I hope that with Dorico’s Score editor this is possible.
When working with an orchestral model with many VST instruments it is preferable to freeze the tracks to save resources, but currently this is useless if you cannot display the notes.
I have been a professional arranger since 1968 and I’ve got to see what’s on the stave line. It’s nice to see that we are all in the same camp Danix.
Alan, for what it’s worth, you should probably tag this thread as a feature request. It might get some visibility.

Thanks for the suggestion, I aim to read every thread with the score-editor tag anyway, the feature-request tag doesn’t really make a tangible difference.
The Score Editor tries to feel like the key editor, which is also why it doesn’t show locked tracks right now. Your described workflow totally makes sense of course, so this is something we should explore further. It won’t be trivial to make just specific staves in a score read-only though, so this needs careful design to look and feel right.
