Hi,
I have asked in the Dorico forum in this thread Cubase 14.0.20 now imports Dorico files! if the Dorico import will include midi CC data in a future maintenance update or if it will come in a major release, will wait for response.
However in the meantime, I am in the process of learning about the Project Logical Editor and Logical Editor to streamline getting the midi data into Dorico imported tracks or even send to automation lanes to the Dorico imported tracks. Have not found quite what I am looking for on the forums yet.
Possible process I was thinking would be to:
- import Dorico file
- then import the saved midi file from Dorico,
- transfer that midi data to each track using one or both of the logical editors hopefully with only one or two key commands for whole project as oppose to individually doing it for each track.
- save as a Cubase project
- Use the import tracks from Cubase project into a Cubase template with assigned instrument tracks which would give the benefit of both Dorico notation with the Dorico midi CCs.
Any tips/advise regarding the logical editors to transfer that midi data to the Dorico imported tracks would be most appreciated.
cheers,
JDTune
