Longstanding bug? status line reappears

This is my first time joining the forum … I’m hoping that the developers what these posts.
Regarding the “status line” at the top of the edit window, no matter how many times I try to turn it off in N14, it always pops back up. This has been the case since the earliest nuendo versions. Can this bug finally be fixed!

Yeah, agree. However, if any notifications (orange) are dealt with e.g unconnected inputs. You can remove or reconnect those and the status line should dissapear when you hide it and not come back.

Sounds nice, but with N14 on Win 11 … it does come back to haunt a lot. Can Steinberg please fix this?

It’s a simple fix folks … come on, this has been a problem since N7 or so!

@David_Miles_Huber It’s not actually a bug but the intended behaviour. The status line appears as a warning if something is disconnected - the disconnected item is displayed in orange.

However, you can modify this behaviour, as suggested by @ckon . If you right-click on the status line to open the ‘Setup Status Line’ line window and hide whatever is disconnected (highlighted in orange), then these non-connected items will no longer trigger the re-appearance of the status-line after you have hidden it.

Thanks so much … I can finally understand what thus pesty display is trying to tell me.
