I looked at these, but eventually chose a lowly 9700X (65W) and have had no issues. No fan noise. Unless you’re intending to game, or have some serious requirements for heavy EDM or sound design, I’d suggest saving a ton of money and only upgrading later if you hit a performance issue.

The vast majority of DAW users won’t even get close to maxing a 9950X3D or even a 9950X. Also, be aware that the 9600 and the 9600F are the only Ryzen 9000 CPUs that come with coolers.
