Loop was ON! How to unfold the superposed tracks sequentially?

Hi
Here is a Screen Snap
THe pool is under with the 3 unsegmented tracks
I wish to move a track to the project window

When I click on the track in the pool, it doesn’t respond or move…
How to bring them on a lane or track in the Project Window

Thanks for the help
Daniel

You’re not able to drag-and-drop the clip onto an audio track?
Pool dnd

OK I could replicate You should grab the track on its label on the left
I was trying to grab the wave picture
OK SOLVED
THank you somuch for the help

Just to clarify the jargon a bit, the thing you are dragging isn’t a Track. It is an Audio Clip or File. The thing you are dragging it onto is the Track.

Hi Raino
Thank you, yes you are right
Concerning the ‘LOOP IS ON’ problem, I coudn’t use the ‘grab the right corner’ you suggested at first, but the method of grabbing the entire clip in the MEDIA POOL is super easy.
My question I have is the following: I am certainly not the first one who forget to uncheck the Loop button when he starts recording. Don’t you think that there should be an ‘Unfold superposed tracks’ entry somewhere in the menus???
Also , as far as I am concerned I didn’t find anything in the Help or even in the Web search…
Fortunately you were there to help!
Thanks again!

I think you’ve got a model in you head that an Audio File gets folded onto the Lanes, which really isn’t the case. There is no folding or unfolding going on. The Audio Event on each Lane actually contains the entire underlying Audio File.

Think of it like this, an Audio Event is like a window that looks at one specific section of an Audio File. Multiple Audio Events can freely access the same Audio File, even overlapping each other. Each Audio Event can be resized to show the entire Audio File or only a portion of it. Here’s an old post that shows how this works.

Something must have gotten mangled somewhere along the line, or you were trying to drag beyond the end of the Audio File.
