Loosing sound

Hi,

I’m a new owner of MR816 CSX and I’m using it now for a few days and I noticed two very annoying problems.

  1. In Cubase, when I load libraries in Kontakt 5 I’m loosing sound for a few seconds. Everything is working, meters, etc. but no sound.

  2. If I have Cubase opened and moving some large files in Finder my MR816 CSX disconnects so I have to restart everything.


    If anybody have a solution I would be more than happy. I have MR816 CSX connected directly into MAC, no PCIe firewire card.

My system:

  • Mac Pro 2.8 8-core (early 2008), 4GB Ram, OSX 10.6.8, Cubase 6.5.1 (build 117) 32-bit, MR816 CSX

Plugging MR816 CSX to Sonnet Allegro FW PCIe card solved the problem.

I guess there is an issue with Mac Pro onboard FireWire.
