In general, this is very managed this way: the slider is sending MIDI Controller 7 value. Cubase transfer this MIDI Controller to the Volume Fader movement, if you are using MIDI or Instrument tracks. Thats it.

So, make sure:

  • The Q49 slider is sending MIDI Controller 7 data (maybe, you change it by using any template - if there is any - on the Q49).
  • Make sure the MIDI signal comes to Cubase.
  • Make sure, you are using MIDI or Instrument tracks.
  • Make sure, MIDI Controller 7 is not filtered by Cubase (Preferences > MIDI > MIDI Filter).
