Low keys on Midi keyboard aren't inputting notes

I’m using Dorico 5 with an Arturia Keylab Essential 49. Generally the note input works wonderfully and Dorico works very well alongside the Keylab.

That being said, when I try to input a note lower than G#2, my keyboard changes note value for input rather than inputting low notes. Switching octaves on the keyboard doesn’t help. I can’t seem to find the setting to remap the lowest keys on the keyboard. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

You haven’t set a split point or anything like that in your Keyboard settings?

I’ve gone through all the settings I can find regarding midi input and I can’t find anything that would dictate that keys below a certain point on the keyboard should do anything other than input those notes.

I’ll check my keyboard settings outside of Dorico and see if that might be the issue.

Thank you.

You haven’t set MIDI keys to trigger commands in Dorico’s key commands, have you?

I have. There are specific pads that I use to set pitch duration. Now that I type that, I wonder if there is an overlap so that setting is being controlled by both key and pad?

EDIT: SOLVED!!

Okay, so my keyboard for some reason had duplicate output assignments. For some reason, my pads and the lowest keys were duplicate notes. I have since used Arturia’s MIDI Control Center to remap the pads so that they do not duplicate. I can now get all the way down to A-flat below the bass clef.

Same here, using the [map select]ions on the midi keyboard, the user configurated ones are working, factory set aren’t. Probably some newer software package could’ve changed this.
