Low velocity (max 100) with all master keyboards

Hi,
I have a problem that affects all master keyboards. When I press hard, the maximum I reach is 100.
Whether I use my Komplete Control M32 or my electric piano (Olya Pro 2) it’s the same.
Whether with Cubase Pro or Cantabile, it’s the same. When I use Claire’s keyboard or Cubase’s keyboard, the velocity goes up to 127.

On Ableton, you can increase the velocity with the MIDI Velocity effect:

So this partly solves the problem by putting the “Drive” to the maximum.
Well, I don’t really use Ableton (I got the 12 Lite version as a gift for the purchase of my Arturia KeyLab 61). I bought Cubase Pro 13.

Is there the same thing on Cubase Pro 13 or is there an effect plugin I can apply to boost the velocity?

Hi,

In Cubase you can use Input Trnsformer, MIDI Insert Transformer or MIDI Modifiers.

For the transformer, you can do something like:

Filter Target
( Type is | Equal | Note 
)

Action Target
Velocity | Add | 127

Function
Transform

In the MIDI Modifier, you can set the Velocity Shift parameter to 27.

If you use the Input Transformer, the data will be writen with the given modification. If you use MIDI Insert Transformer or MIDI Modifier, you will record the source data and modify them in real time while playback. You can also print it to the MIDI Track by using MIDI > Freeze MIDI Modifiers.
