Lower resolution after installing Windows 10

Running Cubase Pro 8.0.30, I installed Windows 10 Home edition last night. All is fine EXCEPT that all project windows display very large, as if I had set the screen resolution to show fewer pixels. I am on a 4K monitor, set to its max display, i.e., 3,480 x 2,160. Nothing else was changed on the PC or within Cubase. I see no way to change the project windows resolution so that it shows more of each window, as it did with the prior OS, i.e., Windows 7 x64.

System: Custom-built Core 2 Quad CPU, Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz, 8 GB RAM, Windows 10 Home edition on 64-bit system.

Cubase doesnt support high DPI
So you’ll have to change this in windows, try either

1/
right click desktop
select ‘display settings’
change the slider (I have 4k monitor and use 150%) perhaps change it to 125%

2/ (make sure cubase aint running)
right click → the cubase shortcut (to start program) select ‘open file location’
right click → cubase 8 program, select ‘properties’
click compatibility tab
make sure ‘disable display scaling on high DPI settings’
press OK
start cubase (everything will be much smaller)

Fantastic! I like the second option, because it allows me to set the overall Windows display at 150% (for easier web browsing) but keep just Cubase smaller, allowing it more screen real estate. Thanks for these great tips!
