Lower voice of this tuplet?

This one has me stumped. How do I replicate the lower voice of this tuplet in Brahms’ Die Mainacht?

Add tuplets to the lower voice and hide them (and remove the rests). You will likely need to manually beam them as well.

Enter normal 3:2e tuplets in the low voice, and then, inside, 1:2e for the first two notes of each group (here in green).

(You’ll have to beam them together once they’re entered)

I prefer the simpler remove rests approach. No need for nested tuplets…

This is how I got it. Thanks!!

It’s amazing how elegant it looks once it gets cleaned up.

…except that the ledger lines seem to need a lot of space before them:

Is this really the default, or are you squeezing more music into the system than 100% ?

Wouldn’t that be due to the hairpins rather than the ledger lines?

Yes, I am actually amazed, how well the hairpins look, basically perfect
I wonder whether it might be because of an overfilled system, or wether removing rests will have these side effects (no offence Janus :yellow_heart:).
