For a few years now at Club Cubase NYC, I have been requesting that a “Lyric Track” be introduced to Cubase. This would utilize scale-able font and section names such as VERSE ONE, CHORUS, etc.
This would give the engineer a quick and/or additional reference points in the song.
Ideally it could import the lyrics from a WORD or other doc initially and then the engineer could move them around to match the measures. And then export the lyrics also if changes are made on the fly.
The track could also be utilized for queues. This would especially come in handy when Cubase is being used in a live environment for backing tracks, etc.
I know much of this can already be done using arranger and marker tracks. But it would be nice to have a track that allows for choosing the font size, etc.
