Hi all,
When creating a descant above a normal soprano part after lyrics have been added below the staff for the normal part, how do I force the new lyrics for the upper voice to show above the staff? Currently, I’ll type a few words, exit the lyric editor, flip them, go back into lyric editor and the rest will follow suit. It is tricky to select the right lyrics to flip, as one set of lyrics is superimposed on the other.
Is there a quick way to temporarily default the new lyrics to above the staff without changing the default settings?
If the descant uses different notes, it would presumably be in a different voice, which could have its own lyrics and IIRC placement, or perhaps you should use a different Player and condense it with the uppermost Chorus line. Condensing would put the differing lyrics above the staff for the top part.
Was just doing this. When entering lyrics, press Shift-up arrow. That will put the lyrics above the staff.
