I’m getting these doubles in lyrics, oddly just in that second line, not 1 or 3. I’ve tried deleting the lyrics and re-typing them, but the double strike comes back.

when you opt-shift-click one of them, then the other, what do you get showing in the bottom panel?
Thanks, Dan. All the settings are the same for the two words.

I tried turning everything off in XML import but got the same result. I checked the Finale file to see if there was any doubling there, but no.

Can you attach the project itself? It’s impossible to diagnose problems from pictures. A reminder of how best to ask for help here on the forum (a sticky thread pinned to the top of the category, though you may have read it and thus it’s dropped down out of sight):
Bill, I think Dan was rather asking about the status bar at the very bottom (not the settings in the Property Panel).
If you mean the bar that has Concert Pitch / Transposed Pitch / Bar 6 / Lyric, it’s the same for both words. Thanks to all. Headed back to Finale for now.

No, I meant the properties panel at the bottom.
I’m pretty sure this is either user error, or a dodgy XML import. If you want an answer to your problem, post the file rather than bailing out prematurely. Finale still works just fine, but you’re just kicking the can down the road.
I think the issue is that you see 6 words, three on top of the other ones. Pretty sure there is something “dirty” in the source Finale file in that specific bar (measure). I can’t open Finale right here to check, but if you delete all lyrics in that bar completely and only re-enter the necessary syllables into the correct voices (=layers), the resulting .xml file should carry over a better result.
Thanks, kb. I will give that a try.

By golly, that worked!
