Lyrics Line number - glitch in Galley view

Hello,
I am working in Galley view.
If I select the Lyrics and change them from (let us say) Line number 1 to Line number 3, they get displayed out of line. Page view is not affected. I think this must have creeped in into a newer update, since I don’t remember this from earlier versions. Or I might have changed some setting, which gives me these results.

Lyrics in Line number 1:

Change Lyrics to Line number 3:

checking Line number of displaced lyrics:

By the way, I am changing the Lyrics Line number to 3, so it will display the right verse number..

What do you expect? In Galley View lyrics are always placed with the vertical offset according to the line number. I’ve never seen a different behavior (I started with Dorico 5.1).

You could increase the gap between the staves for Galley View in Layout Options > Vertical Spacing to avoid the ugly overlapping.

Hello Stefan,
yes, this is what I was used too and also expected. It seems, now the lyrics are displayed randomly at different heights. If you have a look at my middle screenshot (this is all lyrics Line number 3): From bar 20 onwards it shows up with an incredible offset.

Now I understand. Yes, that’s certainly not intended.
Is there a system break at bar 20? Maybe Dorico adopts the Page View appearance.

ps.: this example is from the next flow already - similar behaviour.

There is a system break, calculated by Dorico (not a forced one).
If I switch to Page View it is also all over the place.
I experience this behaviour since around three weeks.
Something has changed, but I can’t tell, what:

You’ll see that also on the second page, above lyrics from the system below move up quite far.
