The two attached files show the line of a song with the bass clef singers echoing the treble clef singers. There are only 3 verses to this song. The Finale file had the echo under the leading part, but had to be a very small print. I was hoping I could use a larger font size in Dorico, but the upload messed up the lyric placement - there’s not 6 verses!? Do I have to delete what Dorico is calling verses 4-6? If so, how do I enter the echo? (I’m still new to Dorico - thanks!)
I would put the bass “echo” lyrics below the bottom staff to help make the division clearer, and I would start the “echo” as its own verse 1 on the lower staff.
Thanks! I have been able to fix this issue. Again, being new to Dorico, I haven’t learned all the little nuances. First I removed the automatic verse numbering. Then in Engrave, I clicked on the lyrics line and moved the little box up or down to the position that I desired. After all the echoing parts (and regular ones) were spaced as I desired, I added a text box at the beginning of the song just to the left of the first words for each verse and put the verse numbers in that way - not the most ideal, but I ended up with the final look that I wanted.
The Solution checkmark is most useful when it explains what one did to solve the situation. Just saying it is solved will not help those that come after with a similar problem.
Updated my other entry - thanks!
