I have 8 different layouts for this piece. In seven of the layouts, the lyrics are all aligned at the beggining of each system. In this layout, they are not at all aligned, whether I leave the “lyric text alignment” off, or chose any of the available options with it on.
Of course, I spend 30 minutes on this and find an answer immediately after, but the answer might be a bug?
The individual lyrics had been manually offset at some point. I would have expected all of those lyric offsets to be cleared when I selected (from engrave mode) Engrave->Lyric Offset->reset layout
That function appears to do nothing. Any suggestions on how to get all the manual lyric adjustments cleared?
Select alle lyrics and uncheck the offset in the properties pane in engrave mode
Select all, filter for Lyrics and select Reset Position in menu Edit. This works in Write and Engrave Mode.
Lyric Offset reset is a reset for the vertical position, not the left-right nudging.
If you want to remove those offsets, select all the lyrics and toggle off the Offset property in the bottom panel.
