Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard

Cubase 7.5.30 is able to install in 10.6.8 even though it’s not supported.

It runs flawless on my hex core as long i remove the hub

Has any body got the new Cubase Pro 8 to install on 10.6.8?

If so, were there any tricks involved to get it to run on our mac version of Windows XP?

Thanks In Advance

It will most likely not work at all. Components like for instance the Steinberg Installation Updater will run on 10.8, 10.9 and 10.10 only.

Still almost 25% of people running a mac are using 10.6.8

has any one out there got this installed in Snow Leopard?

A user has been able to get it to install on that dog of an os 10.7 Lion:

Sorry, time is up for OS X 10.6. Cubase is using system API’s now that don’t exist in 10.6. So you don’t have to try.

Did you actually try to install it though to confirm?

Or are you beta testing yosemite?

I dont need the latest and greatest os , old and reliable is just fine.

I have 3.mac pros over here with vep5 in the middle of a massive project.

Cubase pro 8 is apparently way more efficient with the asioguard v2 and i need the power.

I dont want to have to leave snow leopard until the bitter end and am looking for a solution.

My tech got the most current kontakt to work when its not supposed to either.

We are able to do crazy things like face and heart transplants . We can even grow lemons the size of grapefruits

Right now there is probably a 13 year old in Russia that has figured this out and i am hoping he or she will read this
Forum and post a solution

Thanks in advance

Marcus, Arne is one of our developers so he should know
