Mac - Recording issues - Voice Isolation Enabled

Friendly Reminder to set Apple’s “Mic Mode” to “Standard” when recording in Cubase. By default, some applications are set to “Voice Isolation” mode, which filters out ambient noise. If you’re recording instruments, the result is a very low-level audio signal with crackling noises and distortion, as if your pre-amps were toasted. I spent 2 hours trying to figure out what was going on before I realized it, since everything was working fine in other DAWs (Ableton, Pro Tools). Hopefully, this helps some of you.

BUMP!
Just lost a bunch of work time on this…
Nice ‘feature’ Apple
