MacBook Air Tahoe, built in audio not connected

I am running Cubase 15 on a M3 MacBook Air, sometimes I use the internal sound, sometimes an Arturia Minifuse 4, All Steinberg apps CCubase , Dorico, Wavelab), When I switch back to built it audio, All app refuse to change to built in audio, I went to studio/connections, settings but changing the driver simply does not work, no matter what I do.

I’ve had this issue with both my MacBook Pro and Mac Studio. It would seem that once set for the session it will not change the driver unless you exit the program and re-open it. I’ve had this with CB, WaveLab and SpectraLayers (all Pro versions).

Hi,

First, you have to select the correct ASIO driver in the Studio > Studio Setup > Audio System. Select the Built-in Audio ASIO driver.

You have to select the Built-in Audio as the ASIO device first. Do so in the Studio > Studio Setup > Audio System.
