Hello everybody, does anyone know how to correctly install the UR44 driver for Macbook Pro with M2 and Ventura 13.3? having troubles, because I installed the drivers but the computer is not reading the interface.
I have a UR44. I was using the Beta driver Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver V4.0.2b1, but it was producing a popping sound, so I tried to install Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver V3.1.6. It’s a bit tricky to install and it lessens your computer’s security settings a little.
I’m running Ventura on a 16" MBP M1. Unplug all USB connectors and quite programs. Make sure you have a battery level of at least 50%. If you have a driver already installed, uninstall it first and reboot. Then install the V3.1.6 driver. If you have the V3.1.6 driver installed you just power down. To get the driver to show up you need to make sure in Security Settings that the driver is cleared in installed. Plug in your UR44, connect and turn it on. Check the MIDI Setup to see if the Yamaha Steinberg driver is available and you should be good to go. I hope that helps.
