macOS Sequoia - Yes or No?

Is Steinberg saying “yes” or “no” regarding the new MAC OS Sequoia 15?

Is it listed on the System Requirements page?

Just a note - “Testing”

I am Beta testing the new OS. Here is what I have found so far.

  1. Cubase 13 Pro (Core functionality) runs as expected for the most part
  2. I use a Neuman MT48 as my audio interface and under the new OS, Cubase reports the Neuman latency as 30ms with a 32 buffer size. I have tried increasing the buffer, but the reported latency also increases along with those changes. The 32ms reported latency is the lowest I can achieve with the Neuman MT48. I have also switched to built in audio, the interface in my Maschine controller and a couple of other interfaces I have sitting around. In the case of all other interfaces, their latency is reported correctly. When recording with the MT48, I do not hear the high reported latency. Audibly it sounds like 3-4ms. I believe this is just a display error or issue with Cubase handshaking with the Neuman correctly as all other interfaces work as expected
  3. Wavelab 12 pro will not work as an extension (ARA) in Cubase 13 Pro under the new OS. When launched this way, it immediately hard crashes Cubase back to the desktop. I have tried disabling all VST3 plugins as well as disabling the preferences file but no luck so far. (as a side note, if I disalbe all VST3 AND the preferences file, the latency bug I mentioned earlier goes away). All other extensions I own seem to work just fine including auto-tune pro, Melodyne, Spectral Layers, RX 11 and others . This does NOT happen with standard VST3 plugins. They work as expected without issue (have a little over 812 VST3 tested).

Hope that helps!

I am sure the developers of Cubase and Wavelab would appreciate any crash reports. Personally I would send them to the Wavelab forum.

Not seeing either of Boogeyman_Blacks issues here.
Interface is working fine and 32 buffer showing latency correctly (Antelope Audio via thunderbolt).
Wavelab 12 is just fine via ARA - not that I ever use it this way, but I tried it on several parts and it opened up without issues.
I’m not seeing any issues that weren’t already there in C13 on Sonoma.

I am glad to hear you are not having any issues with Wavelab. I contacted Steinberg and was simply told that I was using it on an unsupported OS so they could not assist me.
In regard to the interface, the Thunderbolt Antelope Audio interface is one of the ones I tested (as well as the USB version of the AA interface) and DID NOT see the latency issue with it. I also did not see the issue with my built in Mac audio, my Maschine MK3’s audio interface, a Behringer interface and a MOTU M4 interface. The only interface I experienced this issue with was the Neuman MT48. As I stated, this doesn’t seem to actually produce the indicated latency, only display it as such. These issues did not present themselves until Beta 3.
Hope that adds detail to my previous observations.

One of my clients (without asking me first) upgraded to Sequoia and now his Apollo x4 doesn’t work. Just an FYI.

Currently stumble into an issue with Import track from Projects. It does not let me select any file with “cpr”(Cubase Project Files are greyed out) but it does let me select “bak” files for some odd reason

Wavelab 12 ARA working ok here
