Macro or key command to increment +0.5 pregain to the instrument track

Hello, is this even possible in cubase ?

I think the only access to Pre-Gain is via MIDI Remote (Generic Remote).

I could send a value of 1 in the midi remote, but even 1 out of 127 resulted in +1.5db.
I don’t know how to send +0.5 let alone -0.5

Maybe in the future with MIDI 2.0
Or are there any Increment/Decrement functions?
