As an experiment, I used NP 5.1.2 for the play back and used VSL’s Synchron Stage Reverb.
NP 5 allows for sending output of the instruments to Dorico’s mixer (NP does a weird thing in the violin gliss. near the end). From there, I added VSL’s Stage reverb to each instrument (I got the orchestral one free through Focusrite since I use their audio interface). The cool thing is that it not only allows me to set the level of reverb, but automatically ‘places’ the instruments in their playing positions in VSL’s virtual studio. I’m fairly pleased with this result (I hope it’s not too loud-as some of my previous posts may have been).
Here is the same work using NP 5.0 with a mix of Synchron PRIME, SSO 2024 & BBC SO.
The trumpets and violins are NP’s.
