Made With Dorico (Mostly)

This is an arrangement of ‘What Wondrous Love Is This?’ for Brass Quintet. It was written in Dorico (of course), but as an experiment, I exported it as an .xml file, opened it in Musescore Studio and applied their Orchestral Tools Berlin Brass library. I also used the new Synchron Stage Reverb (30 day free trial- I’ll need to start saving money-it’s pretty cool.) I mostly write for publication, so I need to have decent representations of the score. I’m actually surprised at the way MuseScore follows the dynamics and caesuras . Not a bad playback for a free program and a $29.00 library.

For comparison, Here it is with Noteperformer. Except for the Horn, I’ve been fairly pleased with it. Stream What Wondrous Love Is This - NP by garygoofry1 | Listen online for free on SoundCloud
Here it is with NPPE using some of my $1500.00+ worth of
libraries with NPPE (BBCSO Core Horn & Trumpet 1; SSO2024 Trumpet 2, BBCSO Core Trombone & Tuba) again with Synchron Stage reverb.

What dynamic have you got marked at the start there? I had to turn down my volume!

It was Forte-and tutti. MuseScore’s playback engine still has some some quirks, it seems.
Sorry.

I’m enjoying all your arrangements. Is there a place I can hear more?

downloaded the Synchron Stage Reverb trial out of curiosity but I can’t see how it’s supposed to be picked up by Dorico as it doesn’t show in the Reverb or Insert list? It’s definitely installed there among the vst3’s. Perhaps you could enlighten me! Thanks!

It’s in the mixer under inserts-either per channel or on the Master volume. I like it because you can virtually ‘place’ instruments in the ‘room.’

It’s under VSL/Spatial +Panner/Synchron Stage Reverb. Click on ‘Spatial + Spanner’ and you’ll see it. Them clock on it.

OK – looking at the diagnostics, Dorico blocked the plug-in for some reason (not the first time D6 has done this, either) . After re-scanning all the vst’s it was then picked up. Thanks for your help.
