I have input sextuplets on the upper line, but I want both maracas to play this. When I try to input on the lower line, I cannot get sextuplets - or at least the sextuplets alter the upper line [see images].
I cannot seem to separate the Maracas lines, so I want a snap with one maraca and a roll on the other, but I cannot seem to notate this. [See image]
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
What is your procedure for entering the sextuplets? From your screenshot, it looks as though you’ve been inputting two sextuplets in the Mara. 2 line (see the caret position and the sextuplet inside the sextuplet).
Make sure that the caret is on the top Mara. 1 line if you want a sextuplet on the top maraca.
Thanks for this: the Notation Options are as you indicate.
I am trying to enter notes on each line with the carat on the correct line.
But if I put a sextuplet - on either line - when I change lines, the sextuplet gets nested ! So I can only find two input options - see images attached.
What I want is the first image, but without the nested sextuplet …!
Any other thoughts?
Many thanks again!
Can you post an excerpt Dorico file so we can see how you set up the Maracas on separate lines to begin with? That would be much more helpful than a verbal description and static images.
