What are the steps to format my music to print for a marching band folio. The sheets are approximately 5.5 x 7.5 in. thank you.
If you go to Layout Options > Page Setup and set the page size for each layout appropriately, then Dorico will give you that page area to create your music on. Dorico will also use this for any PDFs you create. If you’re actually printing to a printer, you’ll need to choose your physical paper size appropriately in Print mode.
Note that layout options, as the name implies, are layout-specific. You can select all of the part layouts in the right-hand column to change the page size in all part layouts at once.
@asherber is correct. Create a layout with the page size you request.
I worked on several projects where I created standard size parts AND flip folder parts. For that I created new custom layouts, named them {instrument} flip folder, added the appropriate instrument.
The issue I ran into is printing. I created a template in Affinity, exported each layout as PDF, placed 2 versions of the same part on a full size page Each page has 'trim" lines, so each part will be the exact same when cut with a paper cutter.
I’m willing to share the file if you have and use Affinity studio (free).

Here is the Affinity Studio file. I put the page size on the template, so that I would always remember what I set up. It was not easy to find a definitive size for flip folder charts. But I am 99% sure I did well enough.

You should be able to zip the Affinity file and upload that.
