Master Section Plug In GUis not showing WL12Pro

My Plug Ins in the Master Section are no longer showing there GUIs(Wavelab 12 Pro)…was fine will recently…I can see the GUIs if I put a plug in on a track…

I have checked all the options in the settings of the master section…

any ideas?

Thanks

All brands? Else, what plugins for instance?

Yes all my plug ins from various vendors…they were all showing their GUIs fine till about a week ago…as I mentioned the GUIs all show if put on an individual track…I can hear them working in the master section…just can’t get any of them to show the GUis…thanks

Windows or Mac?

On Windows…
Seems to be a display issue…I have a two monitor set up…
when I reverse the monitor numbers in the windows display set up the master section guis appear…when I revert to my normal set up so the mouse goes from left to right that master section with all the plug in tabs disappears…

Is there a way to save a set up so all the windows appear on one screen initially?

Are you using WaveLab 12.0.30?
Did you change your monitor setup recently?
Try to erase these two files:
\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\WaveLab Pro 12\Cache\plugin_geometry.dat
\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\WaveLab Pro 12\Cache\PluginPlacements.dat

I have seen something like this with a previous two screen set up. It turned out to be a display issue where the plugin GUIs were showing … they were just ‘off screen’.

You can easily save a WL default or custom workspace …

12.0 I probably should update to the latest 12.0.30

I’ve always had two monitors but they can be a bit problematic as to which takes precedence as the main one…

I’ll try to erase those files tomorrow and see if there’s a change…

thanks

I often swap between using one screen or 2 screens. Depending on where I left the floating master section, it will be off-screen and disappear. Simply reverting to the previous screen setup and repositioning the floating window closer to the center does the trick. I can then go back to the other setup and see everything.

Windows has a setting that remembers where your monitors were originally set. See Pic (this pic shows up after you click on ‘Multiple Displays’. Go to System and select Multiple Displays. A dropdown window will show a checkbox and the line “Remember window locations based on monitor connection”. Uncheck this box and you can then identify your monitors and rearrange the them (1/2 or 2/1) as you prefer.

Yes thanks…I have been able to usethese settings to rearrange…and my master section with my plug ins no longer disappears…occasionally quirky but seems to behave now…
