MBOX + Cubase 6.5.1 - NO SOUND ON PLAYBACK

Hello,

I’m running OS X 10.5.8 with Cubase 6.5.1. I have an MBox (2005) plugged in.
The Digidesign HW (MBox) drivers are listed and selected both in the VTS Audio System and in the VST connections.
BUT I cannot hear any sound during playback.
The Mbox drivers perfectly work in other applications (i.e Live)

This has been really frustrating: I’ve waited for more than 60 minutes on the phone to contact somebody of the Steinberg support but nobody answered. I also tried the remote support but no chance to get in touch with steinberg. We are paying so much money for their product, they should at least provide us with a proper tech support!

Is there any user here who can help me, PLEASE…!

You say you can’t hear anything, but can you see anything? Do the meters move up and down when in playback?

Are you sure you’re selecting the correct driver in the Devices menu? It must be the ASIO driver. If in doubt download ASIO4ALL and test with that, just to make sure that the set-up you have is correct.
