Media bay broke my Cubase

I added some folders to Media Bay, rescanned, and my entire computer froze. I rebooted and everything seemed fine until I tried to open Cubase and my computer froze again. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Cubase? Would hate to lose all my presets. Win 7 64 bit, Cubase 6, tried to add less than 5gb of samples.

no, don’t uninstall and reinstall Cubase, it doesn’t help. Make “factory reset”, ie. delete preferences.

How do I do that? Keep in mind I can’t can’t even open Cubase? Thanks.

What are your computer system specs? Soundcard, hard drive, ram etc.

windows 7 64 bit, AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0GHz processor, 8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, Echo Layla 3G sound card. DOn’t think machine is the problem but appreciate your thoughts.
