Media Bay issue - transients are gone (bug?)

My issue:
Audio Samples used from Media Bay do not play correctly in Arrange - Transients are killed.
Nuendo 14.0.30 / Win 10

play button media bay = sound is correct. :white_check_mark:
drag drop samples into > arrange = transients are gone! :cross_mark:
tested with several drum sounds and other percussive content as well as my own stuff.

Does anyone have the same issue?

Are the files getting sample rate converted upon import?

Hi Johnny,
strange behavior, isn’t it?

sample rate is identical, media bay file is 44.1 / project runs 44.1 kHz, no sample rate conversion.

so I did tests with some earlier Nuendo versions on my system:
N12: same issue.
N7: all ist fine…

audio file plays correctly in audio editor lower zone by using the editor´s play button.
But not in arrange window? there seems to be something wrong with the event container, I guess.

did you try to null them to see if it is only a graphic / waveform issue?

sorry, didn’t see you also put audio samples in your post…
any transient designer plugin on the inserts / master by accident. I don’t have this issue with N12

Does anyone have the same issue?

I’ll be back, in the last few weeks I´ve completed projects with N12.

I went through all possible settings in N14 - now I´ve found the “bug”:
During the installation process, two checkboxes in the Auto Fades Settings Dialog were incorrectly transferred !

N14

N10, N11, N12

I would never have thought of that as all previous updates have been problem-free.

Maybe this is interesting for Steinberg to know.
