Media bay stopped working after upgrading to Cubase 14

Hi I upgraded cubase to 14 yesterday.

After the installation my mediabay is not showing any result. It just shows the loading icon. Plugin presets are not showing up either.

I tried reinstall a couple of times. Not helping.

BTW, Cubase 13 media bay is not working either after the upgrade.

This screenshot shows that the mediaBay is scanning your folders. Do you happen to have big size content? If so, I would suggest that you let it for some minutes before getting to close Cubase or re-install. In my case here, I remember I had to wait approx 6-7 minutes before the scanning really completed.

Yes. I have a pretty big database. Yeah it’s been going like that for 30 minutes now… I’ve got super fast OWC harddrives for data. Shouldn’t be taking this long.

I agree. As far as I know, the location of the mediaBay database changed, but I haven’t noticed anything bad during passing from 13 to 14. It’s actually not connected to Cubase version, but rather to the mediaBay server version. But I suppose you already have the latest one…

Yes I noticed that a dialogue window poped out when I opened the download manager yesterday saying “updating media bay”.

It stopped working properly after that.

Ah problem solved. It’s due to an error when updating the mediabay. It’s working fine after reinstalling the media bay server.

thanks for your help

I was about to suggest trashing the database, fortunately it worked without getting adventurous
