Where is the setting for MediaBay in 9.5 so it will show files in subdirectories rather than just the selected directory?
I’m surprised nobody replied to this one. I’ve always found people here very helpful. Maybe it just got lost in the 9.5 rush! 
Anyway, i’m posting the answer in case anyone else has the issue:
It’s now simply a button toggle at the top of Mediabay. 
flatten hierarchy-is gone. this needs to come back asap. pretty pls.
