Melismas Dorico to Synthesizer-V

I’m trying to understand the transfer of melismas from Dorico to Synth-V. Most of my lyrics translate well with musicXML; but some don’t. In order for me to know where things go wrong, I will post some examples in the hope that either someone points out, where my mistakes are (I tried many different options), or tells me that it’s a limitation of some sort. Of course it’s not a big deal to correct these in Synthesizer-V, but it would be nice to have things as streamlined as possible.

Thanks  robert

“in” and “their” are both monosyllabic words and need to be written in the beginning of a melisma with a lyrics extender. Then it should work!

P. S.: I have a morning to spare, let me try this….

Brilliant…. thank you so much  O

So I wrote it like this, and Solaria happily sings it exactly like that!

Yes, wonderful, thank you for helping, much appreciated. I will now dive into the world of phonemes; some are simply wrong. Maybe I will need to make a custom dictionary rather than correcting them manually in Synth-V. I become more and more impressed with this software; there is so much that you can controll… one can have an endless journey if you want.

I’ve noticed that the lyrics must be attached correctly to the note(s), or you will get “la” syllables cropping up!

I also have to study melismas to get better vocalizing!

At the risk of being pedantic, don’t overlook the fact that certain voices are only advertised to work in certain languages. I imagine it would be a train wreck if you use the wrong AI model (a Chinese-specific voice singing English, for instance). I am presuming you know this all already, so forgive me. But I feel the need to mention it in case other people less-versed in Synth-V stumble across this thread.

Yes, I know…. I bought only English voices; that’s why I was surprised to notice the mistakes in the pronounciation. Maybe the dictionary is not complete yet…. Don’t know.

I found the Amen not to be what I wanted. I wanted AH-men instead of AY-men. When I created a dictionary I discovered it is case and punctuation sensitive. “Amen” in the dictionary won’t correct “amen” and “Amen.” with the period won’t correct “Amen” and other similar situations. (I’ve only just started playing with it and have lots to learn. Maybe there are options to avoid these issues).
